I am a huge football fan as well, and agree with you regarding the television industry utilizing commercials to draw viewers during live entertainment shows. At my previous employer, all my co-workers talked about how cool the commercials were verses how the game went. The world has greatly changed over the years, and technology has exploded with endless possibilites. Prior to the class, my vocabulary did not contain the word popular culture; I am finding the suject interesting. I feel respected leadership with model behavior patterns in a business world plays a vital role with being successful. Popular culture sets the standards for acceptance, and leadership attracts followers.
